When it looked like fall races were going to happen this year, I decided to sign up for last month’s Detroit Marathon. After severe shin splints in March and a nagging hip pain in July, I had to drop down to the half, and my training wasn’t where I wanted it to be.

Marathon weekend is quickly approaching which means it’s time to talk about the most important thing: food.

Two weeks ago, my friend and I moved back in together, but this time living in the big city. Detroit. Motown. The D. Motor City. A year ago I was dreaming about living downtown and here I am, all moved in to a gorgeous downtown apartment.
