Going into the race, I wasn’t too confident in my training, or lack thereof. I had been running somewhat consistently since February, but my miles hadn’t been high.

This winter will be my 8th winter running outside and I’m so happy that the snow is finally here. In order to stay motivated and safe this winter, I have some foolproof tips to get you through the winter as well.
I began marathon training today after once again going through physical therapy for a running injury. It was extremely tough mentally and physically, but I’m back to it and eager to stay injury free.
Balance, one of the biggest struggles of this sport. There are so many things that go into marathon training that it can become overwhelming trying to fit it all in, especially with a busy work schedule.

Today is my rest day, meaning I will not be doing any activity today other than writing this post and washing/folding laundry. I cherish my rest days because I know how important they are for helping my body recover. Rest and recovery days are important for muscle recovery and help prevent injury when done properly.
